My path to the RegTech world has taken many twists and turns including life on both sides of the coin as an employee and a business owner. I spent the first 10 years of my career working for a number of large accounting firms as an accountant followed by a stint with INGFP and Perpetual as a salaried financial advisor.

The next chapter led me to starting a professional services firm Vital Addition in 2009 and has grown to 20 + employees and 4 divisions servicing TAX, CFO, ADVICE + WEALTH.

I also have business interests in the Childcare and FMCG sectors and if I’m not running around after my two boys you’ll probably find me racing Radical race cars at Motorsport Park.

Over the past 25 years I've been fortunate to be a part of some of the world's largest companies and brands, as well kick-start one of the smallest.

In sectors as diverse as transport, software, telecommunications, FMCG, financial services, and the media I've lead commercial operations in and run teams across Asia-Pacific, the EU, and North America.

Most recently I was the Chief Product Officer of Isentia Pty Limited, the ASX200 market-leader in media monitoring, analysis and content marketing.

I have a degree in Computer Systems Engineering; training in graphic design and HCI/UX; and a side interest in swarm theory. I also run a popular website for people with food allergies; and wrote and released my first iPhone app in 2009.

I have worked in the finance industry for the majority of my working life, working in businesses such as RetireInvest, ING, RAMS Home Loans and, most recently, Westpac. I have held senior management roles in marketing, operations, conduct and compliance and franchising.

Over the last 6 years, my experience in setting up credit licences and working with industry leaders in the mortgage broking industry has provided me deep insights into the compliance challenges they face and the opportunity for sustainable solutions through new technology.

Outside work, life is consumed by family and the great outdoors. I am a burnt-out baseballer, a struggling woodworker and avid abseiler.

From startup financial planning businesses, to retail banking, investment management, accounting, disability services and GFC remediation, it’s fair to say that my career has been heavily regulated for the last 25 or so years. And I love it! Wouldn’t have it any other way!

But life needs balance, so I live in the Hunter Valley with my family, chickens and dogs, and engage with the corporate world in my own way. No regulation, just a relaxed lifestyle. Living the dream!

I am a registered tax (financial) adviser and have practised as a financial planner for over 27 years.

I have previously served as both the Chair and as a board member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) and as the Chair and as a board member of the Institute of Financial Advisers in NZ.

I am the managing director of Berry Financial Services in Port Macquarie and Chair of the NSW Mid North Coast Chapter of the FPA. I am also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I am committed to improving the quality of advice provided to consumers whilst allowing financial planners to deliver this in a cost-effective manner.

Creativity and concept development. I began my career as an art director in multinational advertising agencies in Sydney and London, then 23 years ago I co-founded, and am still today creative director of mobius marketing and design consultants in Sydney.

From the very beginning, I have been single mindedly consumed in creating ideas and marketing solutions that engage with people to build brands, drive sales and enhance bottom lines.

It’s not all work and no play - I row: I cycle: I mentor: I’m a wanna-be sculptor. I am an avid supporter of young people’s involvement in sport and for the last two years mobius has been the major sponsor of mobius Future Racing, a semi-pro cycling team that competes in the National Road Series, finishing second out of 31 teams in 2016.

I started my career as a courier and then service station proprietor while I worked out what I wanted to study – settling on marketing.

I am the co-founder with Jane of mobius in Sydney and for the past 23 years I have worked with Jane and our team in conceptualising, honing, building and activating brand strategies for international, Australian and emerging businesses - at last count we had launched 237 brands.

I have worked on both the client side and agency side and like to mention that I won the Microsoft account in my first month on the agency side and launched Word for Windows 6 weeks later.

I used to row quite a bit but today focus on cycling and my three sons’ sporting escapades. I am trying to build a collection of watches and fine pens.

Born on 5th September 2016, TIQK began ‘life’ as a discussion concerning the high risk implications of the current method used to obtain and maintain compliance regulation intelligence in the financial industry. Recognising the status quo was entrenched within the operating culture of corporations across the globe, the hard question was not how to develop a new solution, but how to disengage from the old one?

TIQK’s founding members bring to the table a wealth of business experience from diverse fields including information technology, finance and marketing.

The collective pioneering spirit of the team drove the idea past the impossible into the imperative to identify a clear, online solution to obtaining reliable regulatory intelligence.
